A Level Results 2019
2019 A Level Results - High Flyers!
St Ambrose College is once again celebrating a strong set of A-level results, with the vast majority of subjects again expected to be rated as ‘red hot’ against progress measurements. There were also a number of impressive individual performances with a total of seventeen ‘high-flying’ students achieving grade A*/A in all of their A-level subjects: a remarkable achievement.
With nearly all students securing a place at their first choice of university, there were smiles all round in spite of the rain. Students are set to take up places at a wide range of prestigious universities across the country including St Andrews, Durham, the London School of Economics, Bristol and Warwick among others.
Dermot Rainey, Principal of St Ambrose College, stated, “We are delighted to be able to celebrate more excellent results with the students including many fantastic individual successes where boys have secured A*/A grades across all their subjects. As ever, the percentage of boys receiving A*- B grades will compare strongly against the national picture; we have also maintained our average grade of B and our percentage of overall passes has increased. It has been well documented that the new A-levels have increased in rigour and difficulty and we congratulate the boys, not just for their excellent grades, but for their resilience and commitment to their studies. We wish them all the very best for the future as they embark on the next chapter in their life.”
